Filing a hair removal complaint with FTC
Is the FTC the right place to complain?
Here’s a basic checklist of what FTC can and can’t do for you.
Here’s what you should have:
Complaint about promotional material
A hard copy of any material you think might be illegal, along with the date and where you saw it.
Complaint about goods and services
If you bought something, you should have a hard copy of any promotional meterials that influenced your decision, along with the date and where you first saw it.
A hard copy of any documentation you got with the device or service.
A written receipt with the date, amount paid, merchandise or service received, and name of person or business.
Any packaging from a device manufacturer
Any contact information and names of anyone with whom you spoke
If you have a complaint about a hair removal product or service, the Federal Trade Commission may be a good place to contact.
